Notes that are written on the PCR are for internal use only--the notes will not be shown when a user tries to print a PCR. 

 

Notes on a patient’s PCR can be non-medical but it can be beneficial for the PCR users in their decision-making. To add notes to a PCR, please follow these steps:


1. Create a new PCR or edit an existing PCR.

2. Select Notes from the left navigation menu. Then click New on the Notes form.



3. A new window will appear where users can type their notes and also use the Tags field to notify a particular department within their agency. 



4. After clicking Save Changes, the note will be included in the PCR.



Alternatively, users may also use the Actions tab in the My PCRs on their homepage to add a note to a PCR which they haven’t submitted yet. 


1. On the homepage under the My PCRs list, click the Actions menu on the PCR they would like to add a note in. 



2. This will open a new window where users can type in their notes. Notice that the Tags field is not available through this shortcut. Click Submit.



3. The note will automatically be added into the PCRs available notes.
